Christopher Ginty - NH Society of Professional Engineers Award

Christopher Ginty, a 9th-12th grade teacher at Merrimack Valley High School, was selected in recognition of his excellence in the teaching of science and mathematics. One of Chris's students wrote; "What more could any teacher aspire to be than what Mr. Ginty is to me - an inspiration, an exemplary role model, an attentive listener, and an educator who will never be forgotten and whose lessons will serve me for my lifetime."

The New Hampshire Mathematics and Science Teacher of the Year awards program was initiated by the New Hampshire Society of Professional Engineers to show appreciation for the contributions that mathematics and science teachers make in developing student skills and interest in mathematics and science; areas fundamental to the practice of engineering. The awards are co-sponsored by the University of New Hampshire College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, New Hampshire Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers, New Hampshire Teachers of Mathematics, New Hampshire Science Teachers Association, and the New Hampshire Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
